Frequently Asked Questions
What makes an Empire Collection rug different?
Our rugs are hand made to order in Europe by artisans using traditional carpet-making techniques. Because of our longstanding relationship with our mill, all running line products in our catalogue are delivered to you in 6 – 8 weeks- an amazingly short lead-time for handmade products.
But were not just another rug company… We use the highest quality natural fibers such as wool, linen, alpaca, jute and tencel. Our thoughtful, wide-ranging color palette is fresh and modern but also rich and subtle. Many patterns offer color and texture crossover between styles, helping designers cohesively specify larger sized projects. We think of our collection as the place where classic carpetmaking methods and materials meet contemporary texture and classic color- which we think of as the ‘new basics.’”
